The Story of Chloe + Lois. Chapter 2: Courage + Community

The Story of Chloe + Lois. Chapter 2: Courage + Community

In August 2018 Chloe + Lois started as a side hustle when I was working in Corporate America.

It was an odd time in my life. I wanted more for my career but every time I went to advance a door was closed in my face, and I grew tired of having others holding me back. I felt like I had no control over what was happening in my career; I felt "disposable" and I didn't like it.

I felt unfulfilled and lost while working in Corporate America. I knew I wasn't tapping into my talents. I wanted to hone in on the things in life that I love, and I wanted to positively impact women's lives and make them feel great about themselves, because to be honest- I didn't feel that great about myself for a while and it sucked.

As the doors in Corporate America continued to close for me, I took it as a sign that it was time to build my own door...paint it pink, and call it Chloe + Lois.

I haven't looked back since.

When I launched I was still working my Corporate job. I would get up at the crack of dawn and fly to different cities across the US with two computers and two cell phones in hand, work my corporate job and the evenings I would build the back end of the website and work on design for Chloe + Lois from hotels across the US.

If there was a will- there was a way.
And I was going to find a way.

Here we are a little over a year past the launch of Chloe + Lois and this business has changed me and my overall perspective on life. The magic started to happen when I started to believe in myself. Then, a solid virtual community of Women like you started backing me up- and we all became a mutual support system for one another.

The reason that I feel that it is so important to tell my story is because I believe that there are tons of other women out there who felt the exact same way that I did about themselves. I want to tell you that there is a reason for everything in this crazy life. My wish for you is that you see every set back in life as an opportunity to receive something better. I promise you. Never settle or forget your worth. I believe that we as Women are limitless and we all need to start believing it.
